What is the Donor Rewards program?

The Donor Rewards program recognizes and rewards donors who have committed to saving lives through blood donation.

What is the benefit of joining the Donor Rewards program?

Every time you successfully donate, you earn points that can be redeemed for exclusive rewards through our Online Store. The more you donate, the greater your rewards. (Points can also be donated to support charities that share our goal: saving lives.)

We offer a Visa® Prepaid Gift Card*, accepted at thousands of locations, through our Online Store.

You also receive perks for being a donor, including a mini physical and the ability to track wellness information. It’s a free and easy way to live well.

How do I sign up for the Donor Rewards program?

Blood donors may enroll in the Donor Rewards program at the time of donation at any LifeSource community donor center or fixed site or at any LifeSource mobile blood drive.

You can also sign up by calling 1-877-LIFESOURCE (1-877-543-3768) and speaking to one of our customer service representatives or by completing the online enrollment form.

May I register a friend or relative for the Donor Rewards program?

Donors need to personally register for the Donor Rewards program.

What are Donor points?

Donor points are a key benefit of the Donor Rewards program. Donor points enable program members to shop in our Online Store.

Donor members have the opportunity to use their points to purchase a Visa® Prepaid Gift Card* or Know Your Type T-shirt, or choose to donate their points to other not-for-profit organizations with which we have partnered. Click here to visit our Online Store.

How do I earn Donor points?

A donor must first become a Donor member. Donor members receive points for each successful donation.

Points are dependent upon the donation type. (Click here for a list of how many points are earned with each donation.)

Your points are automatically credited to your Donor account after each visit. It may take up to 48 hours after a donation for the points to appear in your account.

How many Donor points do I receive per donation?

Points vary depending on donation type. Click here to view a list of donation types and their point value allocation.

Where can I find points awarded for all donation types?

Donors can find a list of each donation type and associated point values on the Points Overview page.

Can I earn bonus points?

Yes, Donor members have opportunities to earn bonus points.

How many Donor points do I need to start earning rewards?

The amount of points needed to redeem an item varies depending on the reward.

How do I view and redeem my Donor points?

To see your current point balance and redeem Online Store items for those points, follow these steps:

  1. Click here to visit the Online Store
  2. Choose an item by clicking on the image
  3. Click “Log in to order this item” at the bottom of the page
  4. Enter your donor ID and password
    • If you have never logged in before, follow the steps to log in for the first time
  5. Click Online Store
  6. Choose the item you would like to order by clicking on its image
  7. Click Add to Cart
  8. Click Check Out
  9. Confirm your address and your order

 

How do I redeem my Donor points for Online Store items if I do not have internet access?

If you do not have internet access, please call 1-877-LIFESOURCE (1-877-543-3768) to speak to a customer service representative.

Will I receive any Donor points for my past donations?

Donors receive points for all successful donations from the time they enroll.

Do I still earn Donor points even though I have been deferred?

Points are awarded for successful donations only.

What if I donate to support lives and not for the Donor points?

As a Donor member, you continue to earn points with each successful donation. If you choose not to redeem your points for the items in our Online Store, you can allow them to expire or donate them to a non-profit organization with which we have partnered.

When do my Donor points expire?

Donor points expire 13 months after blood donation inactivity. (“Activity” is defined as being a participating donor or presenting to donate.)

May I transfer my Donor points to someone else?

Points are an expression of gratitude to you for saving lives by donating blood.  You are not able to transfer them to another person.

I donated yesterday, but my Donor points aren’t showing up in your system.

It may take up to 48 hours for your Donor points to appear, in your account, in our system.

If, in seven days, your points are not available, please call 1-877-LIFESOURCE (1-877-543-3768) or submit an inquiry through our Contact Us page, and a customer service representative will be happy to help you.

What is My Personal Donation History?

My Personal Donation History is an online account that safely and securely stores, and allows donors to track donation information, such as blood type and eligibility date.

My Personal Donation History also allows donors to search for community donor centers, fixed sites and mobile blood drives in close proximity to where they live or work and create and edit future appointments to donate blood.

Donors can easily monitor their personal wellness information, including blood pressure and pulse, through My Personal Donation History.

Everyone has a My Personal Donation History account created for them within our system after the first time they present to donate.

How do I log in to My Personal Donation History?

To log in to your donor profile, follow these steps:

  1. Click here to get to the donor log-in page
  2. If you have logged in before:
    • Enter your donor ID (this can be found on your donor ID card)
    • Enter the password you created
  3. If you have donated before but have never logged in, you still have a My Personal Donation History account
    • Click Create a password below “Existing Donors” and log in using your donor ID and birth date
    • You will be prompted to create a password

Once logged into your profile, you will be able to confidentially keep track of personal donation information, such as blood type, prior donation information, donation eligibility and health information (including cholesterol levels).

If you have never before donated with LifeSource, you do not have a My Personal Donation History account and you cannot create one.  You can still search for community donor centers and mobile blood drives and make an appointment online by clicking on the links below New Donor.

I’ve created a profile to have access to My Personal Donation History – is that the same as registering for the Donor Rewards program?

No.  My Personal Donation History is a secure online service that enables our donors to track general donation information, such as blood type; prior lifesaving donations; eligibility date; and wellness information.

The Donor Rewards program, however, gives you the opportunity to earn points for every successful donation.  Your points can be redeemed for exclusive rewards through our Online Store.  The more you donate, the bigger your rewards.

A My Personal Donation History account is created for you after your first time presenting to donate with LifeSource.  However, you must sign up to become a BL Member.

Will I be able to choose my contact preference once I create a My Personal Donation History profile?

Yes. Donors can change their My Personal Donation History profile, including selecting a contact preference.

Donors can choose direct mail, email and/or telephone as a preferred method of communication from LifeSource.

Questions about the Advanced Wellness Check

Donor Rewards Program Advanced Wellness

What is the Advanced Wellness Check?

One of the benefits offered after your third successful donation each calendar year is an Advanced Wellness Check, which provides donors with a lipid profile test. This lipid profile, consisting of an LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol and triglycerides check, can determine the risk of coronary artery disease. These tests have been shown to be indicators of whether or not someone is likely to have a heart attack or stroke caused by blocked blood vessels.

Donors can receive an Advanced Wellness Check only once per calendar year.

Who is eligible to receive the Advanced Wellness Check?

This benefit is reserved for BL members who have successfully donated at least three times in a calendar year.

How do I schedule my Advanced Wellness Check?

You do not need to schedule an appointment for your Advanced Wellness Check; walk in to a LifeSource community donor center and tell the receptionist you are there for your Advanced Wellness Check.

What should I do before receiving my Advanced Wellness Check?

You must fast for 12 hours prior to getting tested; this will help ensure accurate results.

Where can I find the results of my Advanced Wellness Check?

Your results will be available in the Wellness Center section of your My Personal Donation History profile.

When will the results of my Advanced Wellness Check be available?

Results will be available online within seven to 10 days of testing.

If I do not have internet access, how can I receive my results?

Call 1-877-LIFESOURCE (1-877-543-3768) and provide the required information to our customer service representative or leave the information on our secure voicemail when prompted.

The results of your Advanced Wellness Check will be retrieved from your account and can be mailed to you confidentially.
